It used be that I spent hours banging out DCL code using EDT on a genuine VT100 hooked to a VAX/VMS system, fighting for process time with 70 other users on a system that was built for maybe 20, and at least half of those 20 were compiling COBOL programs and cursing. Now I'm putting off doing any sort of real hacking because my 15" 1024x768 LCD display (on the 450MHz PIII laptop, of which I am the sole user) has died again and I'm reduced to using a slightly blurry 15" CRT instead. Truly technology has spoiled me.
